Being raised in a Christian home, I think I have always loved Jesus. But it wasn’t until I was about 10 that I realized I needed a relationship with Him; I came to understand as a teen that Jesus also wanted to be Lord of my life…and I’m still working on that.
I’ve been married for more than 50 years and have 2 daughters and 5 grandsons, one of whom went to live with Jesus. His death was definitely the hardest thing I’ve ever endured, but I’ve experienced so much of God’s grace and comfort, as He promises in 2 Corinthians 1:3-5. “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.”
I teach preschoolers from around the world; I write for a magazine, and write study guides on middle-grade novels, and in my spare time I enjoy reading and playing the piano.
