I was raised in a pretty traditional, happy Irish Catholic home. Although I attended Catholic school for 12 years it wasn’t until I took a theology class in college, which required my studying faiths drastically different from my own, that I started to question my own traditions and religious beliefs. After investigating other denominations, I returned to my Catholic roots a faithful (yet still inquiring) servant. Bible study has been a wonderful outlet in finding answers to my questions and getting affirmation of my faith through the conversations I have with these lovely ladies. My husband and I have been married 12 years and have 3 caring and energetic boys who keep us on the go. I now teach religious education classes for our church and continue to inquire, perhaps challenge, when compelled. I am, I feel, at a critical stage in child rearing with a tween who is starting to negotiate the challenges of friendships and morality. I find I am looking more frequently to my favorite verse for guidance, “for I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
