This week we introduce the topic of using God’s word in everyday life, and some practical ways we can do that. We talk a little bit about the importance of memorizing scripture and some memory maximizing tips.
Remember, God honors when we work to hear Him and understand Him better. Jeremiah 33:3 says “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know” and Acts 17:27 reminds us He wants to be found! It says “God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us.” He will honor our work in memorizing His word by blessing that process. Even if you are not someone who finds memorization easy, I encourage you to dive in and see how the Lord will work in you.
Our core verse for this broadcast is Ephesians 6:10-17, which describes the importance of using God’s word as well as the “armor” that God equips us with for our battles here on earth. The link to the homework for this series is below.
Using God’s Word in Everyday Life
*This ministry starts as a Bible study recorded in Holly’s house. We love the intimacy that creates and hope you feel the comradery we feel together. However, the recording equipment we used during this particular series (early in the life of the ministry) picked up the dog barking…barking a lot. We extend our apologies for that sound quality issue. Maybe we will put his picture and bio on the page next time, he sure had a lot to say.
