It’s What’s on the Inside that Matters
Last weekend was really busy. My son graduated from high school and we were going from party to party. It has been an unseasonably cool late spring but on Saturday the sun came roaring back in with no cloud cover to be seen for miles. What I would deem “gorgeous weather.” As we enjoyed our time in plastic chairs with no shade in sight, reminiscing about the past years and looking forward to the future, I found myself starting to sweat profusely.

I do not have a green thumb or the memory to water plants. Heck, I hardly water myself most days. All doubts aside, I bought an aloe plant. I bought plant food, watered it, loved it, gave it the best spot for sunlight, protected it from the elements and for one year that aloe plant grew! And I mean it was a BEAUTY!!!

How often do we think that something is not working when it is really just doing something we can’t see from our vantage point? We constantly make assumptions based on what we can see. Continue ReadingThe Journey of Grief
This week marked three years since my beloved husband, Scott, passed away. I’m to the point where I can make heads from tails and have been able to reflect on all I’ve learned, and all that God & I have been through since that horrible day.
Continue ReadingNaturalism and Christianity
For many Christians, navigating the ideas of naturalism and Christianity can be difficult. Naturalism is defined as a belief that nature is all that exists, or at least that only natural laws and forces are involved in how our universe operates. Contrasting this view is the traditional Christian perspective which holds that God is the source of all creation and sustains it through His power and authority. This article will examine both sides of this debate and provide insight into why understanding the differences between them is important.
