Pray and ask God to fill you with a desire for His Word and for ways to help you stay in the Scripture daily. You can make excuses about how busy you are, how many kids you have, how close it is to Thanksgiving/Christmas/Festivus and/or the baby is teething. But you and I both know that we always make time for the things we truly want to do.

Kid’s behavior can be so chaotic sometimes. As an elementary school teacher, random outbursts of flailing arms, haphazard body movements and silly noises are actions that I witness on a daily basis. My daughters and I were lazily walking through the mall the other day, and we passed by a clothing store advertising their fall line of sweaters, jackets, and all things pants. On the display window of said store, in bold but discreet lettering, was listed different styles you could find inside. At the end of this list, a phrase caught my eye: It’s all about you.

I stopped dead in my tracks.
